The Cloud Asia Awards are back for the 2nd year, taking place at The Mira Hong Kong on the 24th November 2015 as part of the Cloud Asia Forum. In a constantly evolving industry, with so many cutting-edge Cloud providers and new entrants to the market, competition at this year’s awards is set to be the most fierce yet!

Our independent panel of judges are committed to recognising excellence, and assessing the best regardless of size, stature and reputation, so put your company forward!

The 2nd Annual Cloud Asia Awards is a celebration of the drive, innovation and hard work in the APAC cloud computing industry, with three categories recognising services from across the ecosystem. The Awards will bring together the industry leaders and experts who have driven developments in Cloud over the past year.

The drinks reception will open with a lively lions dance performance, before leading into the ceremony, which will take place at the Cloud Asia Forum in The Mira Hong Kong on the 24th of November 2015.

The Awards will be judged by world class experts in Cloud Computing, who will independently select the shortlist and also select the winners. This year’s panel:

  • May-Ann Lim, Executive Director of the Asia Cloud Computing Association
  • Michael Mudd, Secretary General of Asia, Pacific and Middle East, the Open Computing Alliance.
  • Aman Neil Dokania, Vice-Chair, Asia Cloud Computing Association

Following the successful Cloud World Series Awards which took place in London this year, the Cloud Asia Awards are a celebration of the drive, innovation and hard work in the global cloud computing industry.

This year’s awards will take place the evening of day one and will feature 4 categories, recognising services from across the Cloud ecosystem. Similarly to the Cloud World Series Awards the Cloud Asia Awards will be judged by world-class experts, you can meet the Judges here.

We are delighted to announce the independent Judging Board – world class experts in Cloud Computing!

Chris Wrau

Chris Wray, Partner, Kemp Little Consulting

Chris has 30 years of consulting experience spanning Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Price Waterhouse, Andersen Business Consulting and Deloitte.

Chris’ partner roles during this time have included client and key account management, industry head, practice leader at an office and regional level together with national consulting leadership roles with Andersen Business Consulting and Deloitte.

Notably, Chris was one of the founding members of Andersen Business Consulting which grew quickly from a small financial and operational consulting practice into a major consulting player with a full range of strategy, IT and programme delivery skills and a £100m practice.

His experience of technology and digital media related client issues comes from his role as lead consulting partner for Andersen Business Consulting and Deloitte’s Travel, Hospitality and Leisure industry practices combined with being a founding director of Clustre – an innovative network of unique technology based products and services companies.

Chris is a hands-on partner with a wide range of strategy, financial, IT, people and process skills which, when combined with insights on relevant legal issues, makes him well placed to provide the overall architectural and programme delivery skills needed to deliver Kemp Little Consulting’s unique range of services.

Chris will use his experience of building consulting businesses to bring together unique combinations of competencies, technologies and delivery partners plus a strong dose of legal input from Kemp Little colleagues to lead the development of Kemp Little Consulting.

Camille Mendler

Camille Mendler, Principal Analyst and Head of Enterprise Verticals, Informa Telecoms & Media

Area of expertise: Cloud enablement, managed services, M2M, Ethernet, long-tail wireless, new business models.

Telecom innovation can trigger profound transformation across many industries. My goal is to identify sustainable enrichment opportunities for all stakeholders in these complex ecosystems.

Camille Mendler is Principal Analyst and Head of Enterprise Verticals at Informa Telecoms & Media. She has 18 years of multi-disciplinary experience in global telecommunications serving enterprises, service providers, ICT vendors and government bodies. An accomplished strategy consultant, Camille has delivered more than 70 expert engagements to clients worldwide.

At Informa, Camille’s team advises clients on leading-edge growth strategies, focusing on business models for cloud, M2M and broadband in vertical industries. Camille joined Informa in 2011. Previously, she was a vice president at Yankee Group, focusing on cloud computing, managed services and operator strategy.

Her industry experience includes roles in strategic marketing and fiber infrastructure development in European network operators, and she has served as an advisor to the Soros Foundations and the International Telecommunication Union.

Camille is a frequent public speaker and industry commentator. She is a judge of the GSMA Global Mobile Awards, Total Telecom World Vendor Awards and MEF Service Provider Awards.

Camille is a research fellow of the Russian Area Studies Master’s Program at Georgetown University and holds a B.S.in Journalism with a minor in Russian from Northwestern University. She is a member of Women in Telecoms and Technology.

Laurent Lachal

Laurent Lachal, Senior Analyst, Software – IT Solutions, Ovum

Laurent Lachal is leading Ovum Software Group’s cloud computing research. He works in close co-operation with other members of the Ovum team, both within the software group as well as the Ovum IT services, telecom and vertical industry teams, to cover the various aspects of the cloud computing phenomenon and its impact on the software market.

In his 19-year career as an IT analyst, Laurent has provided software vendors and users with insight into a wide range of issues from high-level business strategy issues to low-level technology ones. He has a deep knowledge of most segments of the IT industry from infrastructure to applications and was until mid-2009 in charge of Ovum’s open source-related research activities.

Besides Ovum, where he has spent most of his career, Laurent has also been European software market group manager at Gartner Ltd.

Welcome to the 6th Annual Cloud World Series Awards – a unique celebration of the drive, innovation and hard work in the global Cloud computing industry. The awards will take place on the evening of 17th June as part of our flagship Cloud World Forum 2014 – EMEA’s leading Cloud event – at Olympia National Hall, London.

Meet & Network

Senior representatives from leading end users and vendors will come together to find and evaluate new promising technologies and companies as well as having the opportunity to network in a relaxed environment. Our DJ and Cloud-themed cocktail list will make for a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity for attendees to work the floor and meet senior representatives from leading global enterprises and Cloud providers.
