Maurice Martin

martinAs business group director of the Server and Tools division at Microsoft UK, Maurice Martin is responsible for bringing to market the Microsoft’s platform products including Windows Server, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure. His role includes defining and executing go-to-markets as well as developing sales and partner ecosystem integration within the United Kingdom & is responsible for overall Server and Tools business performance.

With the move to Cloud Computing much of Maurice’s focus is currently on assisting customer and partners understand their journey to the cloud and on the economic opportunities and new technology dynamics that this brings.

Maurice has spent more than 8 years at Microsoft including leading Developer Evangelism and COO of the Irish subsidiary. Prior to that Maurice has worked for a London based VC house, was Director of Product Management at IONA Technologies and CTO of several start-up ventures. Maurice holds a BAI in software engineering and a MSc in Computer Science, from Trinity College, Dublin. Maurice relocated to the UK in December 2009 to his current role.
